Check It. Danny Elfman & Tim Burton 25th Anniversary Music Box.

Could you ever imagine at Tim Burton film without that wonderful, wistful score? It's all the work of composer Danny Elfman, and now the two are set to celebrate 25 years of working together. And only a collaboration like theirs could deserve a celebration like this.

The Danny Elfman and Tim Burton 25th anniversary music box is a collection of all the composer's and filmmaker's works together, featuring artwork by Burton and exclusive musical clips from Elfman. The set is filled with everything you could ever really imagine, from a special collectible zoetrope box designed by Burton and Elfman, to a 16-soundtrack set covering Pee Wee's Big Adventure to Alice in Wonderland, and a 250+ page hardcover book covering their collaboration in pictures and words (with a foreword by Johnny Depp).

The box set, with all of its treats, isn't cheap at $500, but if you're a devoted fan of either Burton or Elfman, it really provides all you could ever need. And if you need a primer on the history between the two, KCRW recently had a great interview with Elfman.

The Danny Elfman and Tim Burton 25th anniversary music box isn't technically available until Feb. 2011, but can be pre-ordered here, for the sake of making a fantastic Christmas gift.

Do It. The Nightmare Before Christmas at El Capitan.

Celebrating Halloween definitely changes as you get older, and I'm sure most adults will agree on missing out on the kid fun like trick-or-treating. You may not be able to go door-to-door in search of free candy anymore, but adults can still get in on the Halloween fun with the El Capitan's screenings of the Tim Burton classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas.

It's probably been a few years since you've last seen the musical, or even if it hasn't, this is a great excuse to see the still-awesome animation on the big screen -- and hey, it's even in 4D. 4D! I don't even know what that means! But my friends actually took me to one of these screenings for my birthday a few years ago (when it was just in 3D), and it was a fun experience and not even that filled with kids, surprisingly.

The theater is also offering a full Pumpkin King dinner for select screenings for $25, if you're looking for an easy dinner-and-movie date. Either way, be sure to stop by the Disney Soda Fountain shop next door too -- the ice cream desserts there are (huge and) amazing.

Time to embrace your inner child and get into the Halloween spirit!

The Nightmare Before Christmas has multiple screenings until Oct. 31 at the El Capitan Theatre, located at 6838 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood.

Do It. Alice in Wonderland event.

If you're as excited about Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland as I am, you're probably going to want to clear your calendar for Friday evening.

In the Hollywood & Highland Center's courtyard, a concert event is taking place Friday February 19 at 5:00 p.m. There will be live music performed by artists featured on the film's "Almost Alice" soundtrack (available March 2), including Family Force 5 and Never Shout Never.

Director Tim Burton (Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Beetle Juice, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street) will be there, as well as "select members of the movie's cast". Considering the film's awesome lineup, who knows what's possible? While I can't imagine Johnny Depp will be there (but he could be!), Burton's wife Helena Bonham Carter (the Queen of Hearts), L.A.-based Anne Hathaway (the White Queen), and/or Australian newcomer Mia Wasikowska (Alice) may show up. Exciting stuff. Oh, and it's free!

If you can't wait till the film's March 5 release, with the purchase of a 3OH!3 T-Shirt from the center's Hot Topic and soundtrack pre-order, you'll not only get a ticket (well, a wristband) to a 3D sneak peak of the film following the event, but a band meet-and-greet and access to a prime viewing space during the show.

Note: Surprising as it may be, Hot Topic has some pretty cool "Alice" merchandise.

If a trip to Hollywood isn't in the cards for you tomorrow night, watch the festivities live online at myspace.com/wonderland.

The Hollywood & Highland Center is located at 6800 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood.
