If you decided to pick up a copy of True Prep--or you're planning on it--you can now get a signed copy. Author Lisa Birnbach will be at Book Soup on Saturday September 25 presenting and signing True Prep: It's a Whole New Old World. If you're a die-hard Official Preppy Handbook fan, I bet (but can't say for sure!) she'd sign that too, especially if you are getting the new book.

Check It. True Prep.

"Wake up Muffy, we're back." From one of the the authors of The Official Preppy Handbook is a new bible for the prep set, available now from Knopf. True Prep is an updated handbook for these modern times that includes loads of tips on all things preppy.

Whether or not you're a fan of the first book, True Prep seems to be a fun guide for those interested. The September (Lady Gaga cover) issue of Vanity Fair had some excerpts, including, "Sign up for tennis team at the club." and "New Facebook picture?" from the New Year resolutions section.

True Prep was released September 7.
