Do It. Skidazzle.

If you have any plans on hitting the slopes this winter (or if you need some warm winter clothes for the unseasonable cold in L.A.) head to Skidazzle this weekend in downtown where tons of ski, snow, and other wintertime appropriate goods will be on sale for ridiculously low prices.

I've had friends go to this in years past and report back that many of the items are on sale for as much as half the price, including snow jackets and skis.

Skidazzle is scheduled to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center at 1201 S. Figueroa St. from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Check It. Cozy blanket.

As the weather gets colder, it's increasingly difficult to get out of bed in the morning! Other than a robe, sometimes a blanket you can wrap yourself in to decrease the initial chill is the perfect tool to make waking up less painful.

Brookstone sells a lightweight, versatile, incredibly comfortable microfleece blanket made especially for naps! It's perfect for a throw to leave on the couch and use when watching movies at night, or yes, even for naps--if you take them. It's so warm, yet so light. And it's machine washable (ok in the drier too).

I have a pale blue/gray version of this blanket that was a genius Christmas gift from reality TV company Endemol (complete with a logo patch in the corner) a couple years ago, and it's my favorite household item every winter now.

Check It. Topo Ranch.

When it's cold outside, sometimes you just want to wear your cozy clothes. Forget the cute flats and tight jeans, it's just too cold for all that. Local brand based in Venice Beach, Topo Ranch has made wonderfully soft tees, vees, and yoga clothes with creative prints that mean you don't have to forego style for comfort.

Their creative prints include scenes of the west, reflective of the pioneering past of the Topo family ranch. The organic cotton is so soft, and their new "porch wrap" is a great light, but warm wrap for winter evenings.

Typical tees and vees go for $38. Merch can be bought online or at their Venice Beach store at 1219 Abbot Kinney.
