Advance Notice. Portfolio and Fingerprints combine forces.

Two of the coolest places in Long Beach, Portfolio Coffeehouse and Fingerprints Music are opening a combined location set to open at the beginning of December.

This will be the third location for The Port, and Fingerprints is making the move for bigger digs to house their very cool selection of music, fan gear, and in-store shows -- all the makes of a perfect marriage.

Portfolio has some excellent seasonal coffees, and Fingerprints is a great place to pick up a present for the music lover for the holidays.

The new location is set to be in the East Village at 420 E. 4th.

Do It. LB's zombie walk.

This is an all-day annual event in Long Beach, that is taking place this Saturday. Stores on Retro Row are getting all decked out for the zombie event, with live performances, drinks, and food (not brains) for the undead.

The event is part of Retro Row's last Saturdays series. At 8:30 p.m. all zombies are meeting up at Portfolio to walk to the nearby historic Art Theatre to watch "Shaun of the Dead."

Long Beach's Retro Row is located on 4th Street between Junipero Street and Cherry Avenue.

Eat Out. Eggnog latte.

I love seasonal drinks. Especially eggnog. At Portfolio Coffeehouse on Long Beach's "Retro Row" there is a mean eggnog latte, which is neither too sweet or "eggnog-y" and still has a nice coffee flavor.

For those who love coffee, but hate "flavored coffee" this is the perfect compromise. Other amazing holiday drinks include: spiced apple cider, peppermint latte, pumpkin spice latte, white Christmas mocha, brown sugar mocha, and gingerbread mocha.

Lattes are between $2.50-$3.50 and can be served to you in a glass, if you ask (as the one pictured above is).

They also have an amazing array of pastries; right now they have a pumpkin cream cheese muffin and pumpkin vanilla scone. Yum!

Portfolio Coffeehouse is located at 2300 East 4th Street, at the intersection of Fourth and Junipero Street in Long Beach.
