Click It. BEAT picks of the week.

I can't stop making these St-Germain cocktails!

Drive just came out on DVD.

I'm looking forward to reading the new Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair this weekend on the plane to LA! Maybe my boyfriend will lend me his copy of 740 Park for the ride back to NYC.

The much-anticipated Jason Wu for Target collection hits stores Sunday.

Lana Del Rey is going to be at Amoeba Hollywood for a free in-store performance on Tuesday (February 7).

If you're thinking up Valentine's day date ideas, The Philadelphia Story is screening at Amoeba Hollywood next weekend.

Advance Notice. Calypso St. Barth for Target.

With Easter just behind us, spring is definitely in the air, and summer is just around the corner. Perfect timing for Target to feature their collaboration line with breezy designer Calypso St. Barth.

Target/designer pairings are always exciting, last summer we had John Derian to look forward to, and last fall, Mulberry.

I've spotted several items from the line I'd like to get my hands on--the natural sequins tote (online), the blue tunic dress/chic beach cover-up, the travel makeup cases, and maybe a couple rope bracelets for good measure. Oh, and then there's a home line with very cute cushions.

If you really want to go all in, pick up Calypso Marine perfume (a great summer scent) this week, and spritz yourself pre-Sunday shopping.

Calypso St. Barth for Target will be in stores Sunday May 1.

Eat Out. Donuts in Los Angeles.

Sometimes you just have to have a donut.

Randy's Donuts is a Los Angeles landmark, with the giant donut atop the tiny building being more famous than the treats themselves. Although Randy does make a delicious coconut donut, as well as nice jelly donuts.

Bob's Coffee & Doughnuts at the Original Farmers Market is the go-to donut shop for mid-city Angelinos. Their soft donuts are delicious, but the dense fried cakey ones can be a bit too hard and not sweet enough. I do however love their packaging.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are relatively new to Los Angeles. They--like some bagel shops--have a fantastic "hot" sign that illuminates the window when fresh donuts are being made. Even for non-donut fans, having a hot glazed Krispy Kreme is an incredible experience. Some Krispy Kremes serve Coffee Bean coffee, which is an added bonus. Avoid the locations that don't actually make the donuts in-house, like Santa Monica. The Burbank location is what I'd recommend--they even have a drive-through.

If you're a Dunkin' Donuts fan, you are out of luck in L.A., although Target and supermarkets do sell Dunkin' coffee now--you'll just have to find your own cream and sugar.

Check It. Pajamas.

Winter is the best time of year for cozy pajamas. Having a nice set of pajamas is great for hanging around at home on weekends, or having an early night any day of the week.

The Nick and Nora line (previously more high-end) is now sold by Target, and they have some classically cute designs (like clouds, and the owl-themed "It's a Hoot" pair pictured above).

Nordstrom of course has some good options, including Betsey Johnson and Munki Munki.

If you'd like a pair embroidered with your name, like Demi Moore has, this striped Ralph Lauren set has the option to personalize.

Check It. Nalgene water bottle.

I saw these Nalgene water bottles at Target last night and they reminded me of Lauren and our L.A. Times days. She was so good about carrying it around the newsroom, and refilling it throughout the day--drinking plenty of water, something most people struggle to do. Then I saw a label that said something along the lines of "drink more water, feel better". What an easy way to feel better! I was sold. Aside from just daily sipping, the simple bottles would also be great for any kind of outdoor activity.

A large bottle (that can be refilled) is a great reminder of how much water one should drink throughout a day. This morning when I filled mine to the 32 ounce mark, I had a few sips and it was already down to 28 ounces before I was out the door.

BPA-free wide mouth Nalgenes are available at Target in West Hollywood for $9.99. Also on the Target website, and at www.nalgene-outdoor.com.

Advance Notice. John Derian for Target.

The "East Village master of decoupage plates, trays, lamps, and other decorative items" as the New York Times' T Magazine Blog calls him, is back in L.A.--via Target.

When high-end designer John Derian's 2008 collection for Target was on shelves, I picked up a bathroom trash bin and a picture frame. This time 'round, there are more items I'm excited about. Trays, plates, and mugs, all in his signature style. The old-fashioned profile items are very cool, I think, and the three-tier tray (pictured above, $14.99) would be perfect for a tea party.

The line is officially in select stores Sunday September 5.

Target is located at 7100 Santa Monica Blvd. (at La Brea) in West Hollywood.
