We think it's worth going for LudoTruck alone.

Do It. BevMo!'s five cent wine sale.

You can count on the BEAT of young los angeles to let you know when BevMo! is having their periodic five cent wine sale. Yesterday, after a long Wednesday at the office, I thought a crisp glass of good rosé sounded perfect. I stopped by BevMo! to find their famous five cent wine sale going on. On certain (plenty good options) bottles of wine, when you buy one, a second is yours for just a nickel.

Needless to say (pictured above) I snagged two bottles for essentially the price of one. While I was there, I also got some pumpkin ale after Lauren's recent post about pumpkin products had me thinking about it.

I ended up having a Blue Moon/Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale instead of that glass of rosé after all, so I'm hoping when I do open my 2008 Turkey Flat Vineyards it will live up to the 94 points it got from James Halliday.

BevMo! is located at 7100 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. The 5 cent wine sale ends November 8. Info: (323) 882-6971

Check It. 40% off an item at Banana Republic.

Banana Republic sometimes has some really great stuff - and sometimes they don't. Right now, they do (pictured above), and you can get it on sale. That's right, brand-new, full-priced items, for 40% off. Next Wednesday, July 28, is the last week for the '40% off on Wednesdays' series that began July 7.

I picked up a coupon card at the reception counter at the Grove's Marmalade Cafe the weekend before last, and finally made it to Banana last night to take advantage of the deal. I ended up finding a great pair of pants that were $69.50 - which meant I got $27.80 off.

Get your hands on a coupon card, and pick an item you'd like from Banana Republic that you can get next Wednesday for a great price. It's the benefit of sale shopping (money off) with none of the downfalls (clothes that are tattered or makeup-stained from being around so long, your size not being there, etc.).

In-store only, one item, July 28, with coupon. While you're at it, check out Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale, on till August 2.

Banana Republic is located at 189 The Grove Drive in Los Angeles, and other locations worldwide.

Do It. Taschen sale.

Today and tomorrow Taschen is holding a Warehouse Sale, "thousands of slightly damaged and display copies from Taschen on sale at bargain basement prices, 50% - 75% off".

Sounds like an amazing sale. Taschen books are great for gifts, but not so much if they're bashed up, so this sale is a nice excuse for some "me" shopping.

Etc. Arcona 15% off.

In celebration of Earth Day this April, Arcona Los Angeles is offering 15% off your product purchase when you bring in an empty Arcona container, for recycling. Through April 30.

As Arcona products are natural and best used within six months of opening, it's pretty likely that if you use Arcona you have an empty (or near empty) bottle around.

The Arcona Studio is located at 425 Broadway in Santa Monica.

Do It. l.a. Eyeworks sale.

Looking for a new pair of shades for spring? This is your lucky weekend. Iconic Los Angeles optical shop l.a. Eyeworks is having their famed annual sale January 28 - 31. I'm really looking for some new reading glasses, but will check out the sunglass department if the prices are right. Their frames are l.a. Eyeworks-designed and hand made ... and they are quite expensive ($300 range), but the sale can be up to 70% off! This is the real deal: Los Angeles Magazine's Style Editor Laurie Pike vouches for the bargains on the magazine's Chic Leak blog.

I haven't ever been to Eyeworks, but based on their online frame catalog they have some really nice glasses that I look forward to rifling through this weekend!

l.a. Eyeworks is located at 7386 Beverly Blvd. in Los Angeles.
