Check It. Coral pedicure.

Deciding what color to get for a summer pedi? Coral. It's an ideal compliment to gladiator sandals! Carey Mulligan was picture perfect on the Comic-Con red carpet last weekend, with Essie (our favorite) shades of Capri on her toes, and sheer Blushing Bride on her fingernails.

Other great shades of coral:

Girls Just Want To Have Fun, by Deborah Lippmann

Tart Deco, by Essie

Mango Bango, by Essie

Check It. Ballet style.

After seeing The Black Swan on Sunday, I was itching to find my Kookaï ballet-style wrap sweater. Ballet flats are my favorite style shoe anyway, but the elegant look of Natalie Portman's character is something I think many viewers will want to emulate.

Where to shop in L.A. for this look:

London Sole in Santa Monica

Most beauty supply stores (like Ball Beauty Supply on Fairfax) for Smoothies hair ties (to create a bun) and bobby pins

Do It. l.a. Eyeworks sale.

Looking for a new pair of shades for spring? This is your lucky weekend. Iconic Los Angeles optical shop l.a. Eyeworks is having their famed annual sale January 28 - 31. I'm really looking for some new reading glasses, but will check out the sunglass department if the prices are right. Their frames are l.a. Eyeworks-designed and hand made ... and they are quite expensive ($300 range), but the sale can be up to 70% off! This is the real deal: Los Angeles Magazine's Style Editor Laurie Pike vouches for the bargains on the magazine's Chic Leak blog.

I haven't ever been to Eyeworks, but based on their online frame catalog they have some really nice glasses that I look forward to rifling through this weekend!

l.a. Eyeworks is located at 7386 Beverly Blvd. in Los Angeles.
