Check It. Cell phone stories.

In the ultimate new-media-meets-art exhibit LACMA's Cell Phone Stories takes place as an on-going series of text messages delivered weekly from artists, actors, and writers.

This kind of exhibit seems to really lend itself to the current trend of voyeuristic media, with sites like PostSecret, Texts From Last Night, and Lamebook -- except these texts are supposed to be about the museum and its audience.

You can subscribe to the mini messages by texting "LACMA" to 67553. The LACMA exhibit ends Sept. 6.
